Katja Vuorialho appointed Human Resources Manager of the School of Science

Vuorialho starts her work on May 18.

The Dean of the School of Science has appointed L.L.M. Katja Vuorialho the School’s HR Manager, as of 18 May 2022.

HR Manager reports to the Dean and in matrix to Aalto University’s Chief Human Resources Officer.

Dean Jouko Lampinen is delighted to welcome Vuorialho in the SCI team:

'Katja will bring to the team her versatile work experience as well as her strong knowledge on HR, coaching and organization development. She will also bring her passion to further develop the school’s working environment and people practices'.

Vuorialho has worked in HR managerial positions in several companies (Accountor, UPM, Sanoma). She has also been an entrepreneur and consultant and worked several years as a legal counsel.

“I am really happy, excited and privileged to join SCI and Aalto University. I appreciate the opportunity to contribute to a bigger purpose - research, education and a sustainable future. I look forward to working with SCI’s HR team to continue the team’s previous work and seize new development opportunities at SCI'.

Jouko Lampinen would also like to warmly thank Vuorialho's predecessor Sanna Kokko for her invaluable contribution to the success and spirit of the school over the past eight years and wish her best of luck in her new endeavors.
