Call to action component

Call to action is a component used for creating a button that prompts the user to take a specified action. Learn how to use the component on your page.

The component will be published Thursday, 11th of June 2026.

Call to action is a component that can be used to add a call to action (CTA) button to a page. The purpose of a CTA button is to prompt the user to take an action, for example to read more about a topic or to apply to the university.

The component is available on most content types and can be used by all editors.

The component will inherit the branding colour of the hub that has been selected as the Content home of the page, unless separately overriden in the component settings. The background colour can be selected from the Aalto brand colours.

  • Description: Write a descriptive text that will be displayed above the button
  • Link URL: Add a URL to the page the button will take users to. The URL can be internal or external.
