Ecosystem & Events Coordinator, Founder School

Aalto University Founder School operates as a startup within the university: moving fast, delivering results quickly, iterating, piloting, and pivoting. We enjoy working with people who are excited to make things happen on short notice.

This role is a great preparation for future work as a startup founder or in hectic and demanding leadership roles. This position suits someone early in their career with an interest in ecosystem and community building, entrepreneurship, events, and communications in a fast-moving environment.

Job duties may change over time. Teamwork and open communication are a must. This job requires physical presence most workdays. Work and collaboration is done in English.

The full-time fixed-term Ecosystem & Events Coordinator drives Founder School’s events and ecosystem-facing activities: planning, producing, coordinating, communicating, documenting, and measuring.

The Coordinator has the main responsibility for organizing Founder Talks and other Founder School events, while also helping Founder School build stronger connections with students, alumni, founders, mentors, investors, student organizations, and relevant partners across the startup ecosystem.

The role ensures that Founder School is visible on Â鶹´«Ã½, that events are well-executed and well-attended, and that different parts of the ecosystem can meaningfully engage with Founder School.

This role is a great preparation for future work in startups, community building, ecosystem development, event production, entrepreneurship education, or fast-moving leadership roles.

The Ecosystem & Events Coordinator will work with the Founder School team to:

  • Organize Founder Talks and other Founder School events, including startup events, workshops, info sessions, and community gatherings.
  • Coordinate speakers, student interviewers, moderators, venues, registrations, volunteers, event logistics, and follow-up.
  • Create high-quality event experiences before, during, and after each event.
  • Support event-related communications, including event pages, emails, newsletters, social media input, posters, speaker briefings, and post-event follow-up.
  • Help develop measurements and feedback systems for event quality, audience growth, ecosystem engagement, and participant satisfaction.
  • Be the face of Founder School actively at relevant startup ecosystem events and ambassador activities, pop-ups, workshops, and collaborations with student organizations.
  • Support collaboration with founders, mentors, investors, alumni, student organizations, and ecosystem partners around Founder School activities.
  • Support alumni and mentor engagement through events, touchpoints, updates, and opportunities to contribute.
  • Work with Aalto central communications and events teams to ensure Founder School activities are visible, aligned, and professionally executed.
  • Support other Founder School activities when needed, including Founder Sprint, Founder Minor outreach, grants activities, and alumni development.

What’s in it for you?

  • You will get full ownership over top-tier events such as  talking directly with speakers, national broadcasters and other important stakeholders
  • You will create events that do more than fill a room — events that build ambition, relationships, and momentum.
  • Gain a strong network in the Nordic startup ecosystem.
  • Gain experience that is highly relevant for future work in startups, community building, or leadership roles.
  • You will be part of a small, ambitious team that trusts you by default to make decisions
