TEE2020 is part of Aalto’s evaluation continuum in which the previous more comprehensive education evaluation was conducted in 2011.

TEE2020 serves as a means for supporting the strategic development of education at all degree levels, with a focus on:

  • Programme (portfolio) management including capability in anticipating the future of work and knowledge requirements
  • Competence accumulation in the degree programmes
  • Ways of implementing multidisciplinarity in education
  • Fluency in studies

TEE2020 observations will be taken into account in the curricula revision for 2022–2024.

TEE2020 will kick off at the beginning of 2020 with a self-assessment of all the degree programmes at Aalto University.

The following steps in the evaluation process consist of programme peer reviews, a stakeholder review and finally an international review including a site visit of an international evaluation panel at Aalto University.

The operational head of the project is Heidi Rontu, and the steering group of the project is Learning Steering Group (LESG).
