Summer and autumn brings changes at Aalto University metro station
During the summer and autumn, safety at Länsimetro metro stations will be improved by changing the fire alarm system and improving lighting. This will affect the entrances and access routes to the metro stations. The changes will not affect metro services or timetables.
Changes at Aalto University metro station
Otaniementie entrance (A Bloc shopping centre):
- Scaffolding demolition will take place from Monday to Friday 14.-18.10.2024 (week 42). The entrance on the A Bloc side is closed.
- The plan will be refined during the summer.

16.7.2024 the news has been updated to remove information about the renovation of the Information Road after its completion.
The news has been updated on 26 June 2024 as the start date for the construction work at the entrance of Otaniementie has been published. Previously, the article stated: Modification works are expected to start in early August, and last approximately 5 weeks. An additional image related to the closure of the Otaniementie station entrance has been added.
