School of Business’ Dean awarded successful business students

Dean Ingmar Björkman awarded graduates who had completed their degree within the normative length of studies and with excellent grades. The yearly award was given to 13 Bachelor’s students and 14 Master’s students on 20 November 2019.

From theory to practice: students enhance an accessible MRI scanner

Master’s students Teemu Rauha and Elias Viitanen designed new filters for an accessible magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scanner, aiming to reduce interference and improve image quality. The technology, developed within a research project, could one day accelerate diagnoses of conditions such as stroke.

Kristiina Kruus has been invited as an honorary member of the Chemistry Guild

At its annual meeting, the Chemistry Guild invited Kristiina Kruus, Dean of the School of Chemical Engineering, to become an honorary member. Honorary membership is for life and may be granted to a person who has made a special contribution to the guild’s activities or otherwise significantly advanced its goals.
