Professor Aleksi Bardy – film producer of the year

Professor Aleksi Bardy has received Producer of the Year award for his movie “He ovat paenneet” (They have fled).

According to the Central Organisation of Finnish Film Producers, Bardy is a brave and skilful producer whose latest movie is artistically strong and internationally interesting. Moreover, the Association of Finnish Film Directors awarded the best direction title to the director of the movie; J-P Valkeapää.

“He ovat paenneet” received four Jussi-awards (production, direction, sound design and  editing) in January and its cameraman, a student at the Department of Film, Television, and Scenography, Pietari Peltola, received the respected Sven Nyqvist award at the Gothenburg  film festival. "He ovat paenneet" is also the Finnish nominee for the Nordic movie award. The winner will be announced in Reykjavik on 27 October 2015.
