Prince Michael of Kent visits Aalto
The Otaniemi Âé¶¹´«Ã½ welcomed HRH Prince Michael of Kent as he got acquainted with Aalto University. The visit was part of a three-day trip to Finland by the prince and his delegation of business representatives. The Prince of Kent is a cousin of Queen Elizabeth II.

The delegation was hosted by Hannu Seristö, Vice President, Aalto University, who told about Aalto as a platform of entrepreneurial activities and collaboration with industries. Together with Professor Pirjo Hirvonen, the Prince familiarised himself with Aalto’s successful fashion design education and the current exhibition of award-winning fashion lines on show in the Dipoli building.

At the Design Factory, the group visited a course in entrepreneurship and heard about Design Factory’s interactive environment. At the end of the visit, Prince Michael learned about the Startup Sauna and the student-driven entrepreneurial ecosystem.
