As a leading Nordic financial services group, Nordea brings deep industry insight, strong Nordic and domestic presence, and meaningful student engagement opportunities to the School of Business. Through guest lectures, collaboration initiatives and career‑related activities, Nordea contributes with practical perspectives that complement the School’s academic strengths and help prepare students for working life in a rapidly changing environment.

The partnership enhances opportunities for students and researchers within the School of Business, while also giving Nordea a strong platform to connect with top talent across all Aalto schools. Building on its existing collaboration with the School of Science, Nordea is well positioned to further deepen its engagement within the Aalto University community.

‘It is great to have Nordea as our Premium Partner. They bring an international company perspective and a genuine commitment to developing future talent,’ says Timo Korkeamäki, Dean of the School of Business.

Diverse opportunities

Nordea is a well‑recognised employer and is consistently ranked highly among students’ “employers of the futureâ€. At the same time, many students may not yet be fully aware of the breadth of career opportunities Nordea offers across business, technology, data, sustainability, risk management and beyond.

Through this partnership, Nordea aims to broaden its visibility beyond traditional finance roles, share expertise across multiple disciplines and support students in building skills that are relevant for tomorrow’s careers. Career fairs, company events and training sessions remain key touchpoints for meeting students and early‑career talent at Aalto.

Over recent years, Nordea’s participation in the Aalto Talent Expo and career trainings has received positive feedback from students, who value opportunities to connect with professionals, learn from real‑world experiences and gain insight into working life. Nordea is committed to continuing its active presence and connecting with students as they prepare for their future careers.

Reflecting on the partnership, Christina Gadeberg, Chief People Officer at Nordea, shares: ‘At Nordea, we believe that nurturing talent and sharing knowledge across disciplines is key to building our future success. Our partnership with Aalto University is more than a collaboration – it’s a commitment to empowering students, encouraging innovation, and growing together. I warmly encourage not only our colleagues, but also other professionals, to take part in this journey and contribute to a dynamic learning environment that benefits everyone.’

Through the School of Business Partnership Programme, companies get to engage in long-term collaboration with Aalto University in many different fields. Developing their employer brand, contributing to teaching, and cooperation in various projects are all examples on possible forms of cooperation. There are 10 companies involved with the programme at the moment.
