The new Bachelor's Degree students start their semester with an orientation week in the beginning of September. During the week, the students learn the basics about studying at Aalto University, as well as the ABC of student life.

The largest amount of students study in the field of technology, with over 1 000 Bachelor's Degree students starting this autumn. Over 400 Bachelor's students start their studies at the School of Business and about 120 at the School of Arts, Design and Architecture.

Furthermore, there are over 1000 new Master's students starting this autumn who have a Bachelor's Degree from another university than Aalto. More than 500 of them start their studies in the field of technology, and more than 200 in both business and the art and design.

Otaniemi is the multidisciplinary home Â鶹´«Ã½ for most of the students. All students in the field of technology, the business students in the Bachelor's Degree programmes, as well as more than 60% of the Master's students in the field of art study in Otaniemi.
