Microsoft Oy has made a donation to Aalto University. The company donated a total of one million dollars to four Finnish universities with the aim of supporting Finnish science, research and innovations.
According to Microsoft, the future of Finland lies in education, research and innovation. ‘We want to be a part of building this future together with a variety of different operators. Our educational system has suffered extensive budget cuts, and donating to Finnish universities is a natural way of supporting it,’ says Max Mickelsson, Microsoft’s Director of Government Affairs for Finland.
