Green Innovation Games: Value-Creation Strategies for Corporate Sustainability
A growing awareness of environmental issues has inspired an increased interest in corporate sustainability.
Leaders in sustainability understand that environmental issues and their solutions hold immense potential for innovation. But how can that potential be harnessed?
Tommi Lampikoski, Mika Westerlund, Risto Rajala and Kristian Möller of Aalto University investigated how corporate sustainability can advance environmentally friendly innovations, and what managerial roles and activities are required.
The investigation goes beyond the superficial "greenwashing" efforts and analyzes how companies enable the transformation toward green innovation.
The study builds on insights from 49 sustainability leaders in the U.S. It was published in a recent issue of California Management Review.
