Europe’s best university communications: ’What if’ campaign wins in Sevilla
Aalto University’s research- and teaching-driven communications campaign ‘What if’ has received first prize at the EUPRIO 2018 conference in Sevilla. The event is the European Association of Communication Professionals in Higher Education’s yearly conference and is one of the field’s most important milestones.
‘This recognition is amazing! Thanks go to the talented communications team as well as our wonderful researchers, whose enthusiasm to bravely popularize science and research made this campaign possible,’ says Aalto University Science Editor Minna Hölttä.
Campaigns were awarded based on the jury’s assessment of each contribution as well as on audience votes. The assessment criteria included project originality, creativity in concept and execution, success in meeting defined objectives, as well as cost.
Two other communications projects or campaigns were recognized. France’s University of Grenoble came in second place while Södertörn University of Sweden took third.
The ‘What if’ series’ stories, pictures and videos feature 17 ambitious, impressive and brave projects related to research, arts and teaching from all corners of Aalto University.
