Emrecan Gulay started as a Data Agent at the School of Business

Aalto Open Research Network has a new member, Emrecan Gulay. Their aim is to support data management practices at the School of Business.

Emrecan Gulay from the Department of Management Studies has joined the Aalto University Open Research Network as a Data Agent for the School of Business.

Data Agents help researchers in their departments with matters related to research data management and take part in the activities of the wider Aalto Open Research Network. They can be contacted directly or through the researchdata@aalto.fi support address.

Data Agents also host webinars in the network's biannual open research training series.

"I study the relational dynamics that emerge when researchers engage with AI systems, and how such dynamics can shape the knowledge being produced. As a new Data Agent, I'm excited to bring this lens to the Aalto community. We are living in a time where the spaces in which we think, analyse, and converse with AI are merging, and I look forward to exploring together what this means for accountability, for the design of AI systems, and for developing new methods that account for AI as a new participant in the process."
