Demolition and construction work in progress at Otakaari 8
Demolition work in progress and the lower part of the building will be demolished by the end of September. The site is fenced. In this first phase, pedestrian, cycle and driving routes are not affected by the site.
For the first time in Â鶹´«Ã½ history, a multi-storey car park will later be built in the area next to Maarintalo (Sähkömiehentie 3). This will ensure the parking spaces required by the building permits, and centralise vehicular traffic, leaving the land at the heart of the Â鶹´«Ã½ for other uses. Approximately 280 parking squares and a covered bicycle park are planned for the car park. In addition, charging stations for electric cars are designed. The estimated completion of the multi-storey car park is by the end of 2023.
