Researchers from the Department of Electrical Engineering and Automation has received the best paper award at ICEM conference in Lausanne. The International Conference on Electrical Machines (ICEM) has established itself as an influential and recognized International event, being the only major international conference entirely devoted to electrical machines. There were 433 papers from 46 different countries in the conference.
The paper is titled "Sensorless self-commissioning of synchronous reluctance motors at standstill" by Marko Hinkkanen, Paolo Pescetto, Eemeli Mölsä, Seppo E. Saarakkala, Gianmario Pellegrino and Radu Bojoi co-operation with researchers from Politecnico di Torino.
