ÄÄհ is an annual festival of audio-visual oddity. It aims to nurture and expand the sound/new media scene in Helsinki, and provide an open culture that is accessible to anybody interested.

ÄÄհ V calls for works! Past editions have contained DIY/custom built instruments, generative systems, nonlinear narratives in sound performance, live coding, multichannel audio installations, explorations between biology and sound, among others - surprise us! Applicants are allowed to submit more than one proposal.

The 5th edition of ÄÄհ takes place at Vapaan Taiteen Tila and the Vuotalo Culture Center. An art exhibition “Flux Island” put on by Aalto’s Media Lab (1.2.2020 - 22.2.2020), and a week of all-ages workshops will also take place at Vuotalo (17.2.2020 - 21.2.2020).

ÄÄհ is free-of-charge and empowered by the voluntary work of DADA ry’s members in collaboration with Aalto University and the University of the Arts Helsinki, together with the Vuotalo Culture Center for 2020.
