Aalto visible at Slush China

Slush, the biggest start-up event in the Nordics, is now in China for the first time. Aalto students are cooperating with Tsinghua University students in organizing Slush China.
– Slush China 2015 is a great example of how our students together with Tsinghua students are actually changing the world, said President Tuula Teeri of Aalto University in her address

Risto Siilasmaa, Chairman of Nokia and F-Secure, came to Slush China to speak about the characteristics of an entrepreneur.
In Finland the importance of entrepreurship for the society and the economy is widely recognized. Aalto Univeristy takes entrepreneurship education seriously and has made great efforts in providing supportive environment for it. As China is working its way from production economy to innovation and service economy, entrepreneurship has become a real career option for many young Chinese graduates. Slush China 2015 was sold out and it brought together hundreds of start-ups and investors from all over the world.
– In Peking we have noted that entrepreneurship is just as important for China as it is for Finland, notes Tuula Teeri.
Aalto University is for the first time a partner at Slush which is organised on 11–12 November 2015 in Helsinki, Finland.
