Alternative route to university: open university pathway
Courses at Aalto University's open university offer a wide range of study opportunities for anyone interested in university studies. Based on studies completed at the open university, one can also apply to become a degree student in the fields of technology and business, making the open university studies a good alternative to entrance exams and certificate-based selection.
The application via the open university pathway applies to predefined application targets, and registration for courses is open year-round. The next opportunity to apply to the field of technology via the open university pathway is during the autumn application from September 1 to 11, 2025.
