About the building
Vuorimiehentie 1, previously known as Puunjalostustekniikka 1 (wood processing technology), continues to operate in its original use for wood processing. The building houses Aalto Bioproduct Centre and the Department of Bioproducts and Biosystems.
Designed by Eero Eerikäinen, the building was built in 1967 and renovated in 1996.
