Alumnus Atte Heikkilä: Acting as a mentor was a great experience for me

School of Business alumnus Atte Heikkilä, who pursues an international career as a project manager in Sweden and Senior Client Success Manager in Spain, participated in the Aalto mentoring program as a mentor. ModerninArvo project affects debate on fate of modern buildings

The main individual sector in creating a carbon-neutral Finland is renovation construction. The surge in demolition and replacement of young building stock and entire areas through carbon-intensive construction is problematic for sustainability. The ModerninArvo project aims at finding solutions to the continued shrinking of the life cycles of architecture, and the renovation and re-use of the architecture from recent decades. The project is being funded by the Finnish Cultural Foundation.
