Features

• People of Aalto can download applications for their personal computers for free.
• Applications that can be downloaded include, for example:
  • Microsoft Office
  • Matlab
  • Cisco AnyConnect VPN client

According to the Â鶹´«Ã½ agreement with Microsoft, Aalto University students and staff members are able to acquire Microsoft’s software products for their personal computers. Licences can be purchased from a partner’s online shop. Purchases require a valid Aalto University email address to ensure that the buyer is a member of the university community.

Aalto University does not offer a Â鶹´«Ã½ license for an antivirus software. On the home computer, you can use for example a program which comes with the operating system, such as Windows Defender.

Limitations

The service requires a log-in.
The service can only be accessed by employees with an employment relationship with the university and students enrolled as attending students with an Aalto ID.Download large files (more than 2 GB) with the Firefox browser. Internet Explorer does not know how to save large files.
