After completing the course, you will be able to

- Vocabulary (daily life, studies, work, history) 
- Past tense (e.g., olen asunut, olin asunut) 
- Forms -maan, -massa, -masta (e.g., syömään, syömässä, syömästä) 
- Comparison of adjectives (e.g., hyvä, parempi, paras) 
- Conditional form (e.g., menisin, en menisi) 
- Imperative form (e.g., Puhu! Ã„lä puhu!) 
- Past passive tense (e.g., mentiin, opiskeltiin) 
- Ordinal numbers (e.g., ensimmäinen, toinen, kolmas) 
- Plural forms (e.g., taloissa, taloista, taloihin)

Evaluation

Passing the course requires regular attendance, active participation in class, and completion of the assigned homework. The weight of the various assignments in the final evaluation will be specified at the start of the course. Written and oral examination.

Teaching time and location

3.8.-5.10.2026. 
Teaching on Mondays and Wednesdays at 17.-18.30 Finnish time. 
No teaching on 9.9.2026.

Exams

Written and oral examination. The written examinations will be held as a remote examination in MyCourses. Oral examination time will be given by the teacher. The teacher will give further information on examinations.

The written examination will be held on Wednesday 7.10.2026. No registration is required.
Re-examination will be held on Tuesday 10.11.2026. Please, register in Sisu on 3.11.2026 at the latest. 

The teacher has four (4) weeks to grade the exam submissions starting from the exam date.
