New library resource: language service MOT Kielipalvelu is now available

Dictionary services changed at the beginning of the year when MOT Kielipalvelu became available. In addition to dictionaries, the service also includes machine translators and language checkers.

The MOT Kielipalvelu includes a wide range of updating general language vocabulary and specialist terminology dictionaries. For example, dictionaries on the fields of technology and commerce are included, as well as wide selection of Oxford University Press dictionaries.

The MOT Translator provides machine translations where you can choose a pair of languages to be translated from 40 different languages.

The MOT Proofing tool helps by proofreading text and suggesting corrections. The text to be checked can be in English, Finnish, Swedish, German or French. More information about the content of the service can be read .

As a result of the transition to the new MOT Language Service, only a reduced version of the RedFox dictionary service will remain available.
