About AI Playground

AI Playground is a shared ARTS space where the ARTS community can try out AI tools in a practical, hands-on way. It is developed together by ARTS and ITS to support experimentation in teaching, artistic and design work, workshops and research.

The space includes local, AI-ready high-performance workstations. In practice, this means that users have access to powerful machines prepared for AI-related work, such as image generation, coding, prototyping, model testing, creative production and other experimental workflows.

Purpose of the pilot

AI Playground is a pilot. The goal is to learn how shared AI workstations can support different needs across ARTS, and what kind of guidance, technical setup and support are useful for the community.

During the pilot, users are encouraged to explore the tools, test different workflows and share . This will help improve the space and shape how AI-related services are developed in the future.

Who can use the space

AI Playground is for the ARTS community. You do not need to be an AI expert to use the space, but you should be ready to experiment, follow the instructions and take care of your own files and data.

Access to the space is managed through Takeout:

Software and tools

The AI Playground workstations include a selection of software for AI experimentation, creative production, coding and 3D workflows. The setup is intended to support both local AI use and cloud-based tools.
